There are six Civic Action Awards and each carries a prize of 5,000 euros. The awards are intended to make known and to honour the work (which is usually not well known, often anonymous, but always exemplary) of living persons who have acted and who continue to act to promote the identity of the Països Catalans in different areas of life and human relations, such as, for example, education, the media, the sciences, art, popular culture, music, theatre, economics, law, social and civic action, etc.
